GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 at Barcelona, Spain is arguably the biggest showcasing event in the mobile industry.

The GSMA which is the organizer for the event has announced that it MWC 14 is going held from 24 to 27 of February 2014 at Fira Gran via Barcelona and is going to host over 72,000 attendees this year.

MWC 2014: Nokia Lumia Windows Phones

After launching numerous Nokia Lumia Windows Phones, Microsoft Nokia partnership in the form of Windows Phone is finally started increasing its market share slowly from 2% to 3.6% which makes 156% increase, although its still a very low. But to do well against upcoming Apple iOS 8 and Google Android 5.0 Lime Pie, Windows Phone 9 will require to have significant advantages.

After Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 tablet launching, recently Nokia Lumia 1820 and Lumia 2020 tablet releases are being rumored.

There may be more to come from Nokia at MWC 2014 with some new flagship eight inches tablet running new Windows Phone 8.1 Blue having revamped notification system, multitasking options and voice assistant feature.

MWC 2014: Samsung

Rumors of Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date at MWC 2014 are running high. But we expect that Samsung will do it at a separate mega event as it was done for Samsung Galaxy S4 launch in New York.

Instead on Mobile World Congress 14, Korean technology giant appears with Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 inches bigger tablet along with Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet and Samsung Android 4.4 KitKat updates for existing handsets.

There are reports about company launching Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite version. There is a little possibility of hearing about Samsung Tizen OS, Samsung Galaxy GEAR 2 and much anticipated Samsung ATIV Q Release Date, a bigger 13.3 inches tablet with Android and Windows dual-boot abilities. Overall, a huge rush is being expected on MWC 2014 Samsung stall this year!

MWC 2014: Phones

LG, the Samsung's rival from Korea has launched LG Optimus G Pro and affordable LG L series at MWC 2013. The company is rumored to coming up with similar mixture of a high-end banger and a few cheaper phones to appear in 2014 including LG G2 mini handset and LG G3 Release.

HTC has been using Mobile World Congress platform to launch its newest models like htc One X and htc One S release on MWC 2012. There are rumors that the Taiwanese company might come up with htc ONE 2 launch at MWC 2014, the release of htc ONE successor.

Huawei, the Chinese are also not far behind and coming up at MWC 2014 with Huawei Ascend P6s powered by MediaTek Octa-core processor. ZTE, another Chinese company had a great show last year at MWC 2013 with 5.7-inch Grand Memo and the ZTE Open running the Firefox OS.
This year it is coming with 6.44 inches ZTE Nubia Z7 phablet at MWC 2014.
