Review of Zong 3G Service in Pakistan

Their 2G and 3G coverage is reliable, which means that you will have no problem whatsoever finding reception in any major cities, or around the country, no matter if you are indoor or outdoor. Their speed are pretty stable too. It is said to register a range of 2 to 4 Mbps speed in 3G mode without drops of connection or speed. We doubt you will ever have to fall back to using 2G mode, because the most part where 2G is covered, 3G is also.

What about pricing? The standard monthly 3G package that provided you with 1GB of bandwidth is going to set you back Rs. 250 according to the carrier. But they also offer packages that are cheaper or more expensive depending on the data amount and the active period. In comparison with other carriers it is a bit steep, but it is a large offering though. Plus on top of that the carrier will offer you some phones if you opt for a contract, phones which are 3G or 4G enabled.

So is Zong the perfect combination of price and value? It’s up to each and every one of you to decide. All we can say is that Zong is a decent, mid-tier carrier, which can most likely provide you with what you need at the price you need it, and it also has some aces up its sleeve like 4G LTE.

Zong has respectable offerings which if you are on a limited budget will look appealing to you. Coverage is also not a worry with Zong, which will be there for you no matter where you are, just like most of Pakistan’s carriers. We would recommend keeping an eye on it, since it’s not too far away from when LTE is going to be the next big thing.
