Google Glasses is going for sale and anyone living in U.S can buy Google Glass on April 15, 2014.

The Google Glasses Project features an Android based wearable computer in the form of Augmented Reality Goggles and is opening for sale only for 24 hours.

This opportunity comes as a surprise to those who hope to become a Glass Explorer. Last year, the company has increased their Glass Explorer invitations, making the product less exclusive, as some Google Play Music All Access subscribers, were able to purchase the Google Glass.

Millions of gadget lovers are still anxiously waiting for the Google Glass Release Date worldwide. But so far the only way to get Google Glass device has been through official waiting list or by having a Glass owner invite.

Through the #ifihadglass hashtag, people who were interested in becoming an Explorer were encouraged to share what they would do if they owned a pair. The feedback prompted Google to expand the Explorer program. Google said in the post:
Our Explorers are moms, artists, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too.
Google is joining hands with the frame giant behind Ray-Ban and other high-end brands to create and sell Glass Internet-linked eyewear in the USA. The partnership with Luxottica was a step toward entry into the emerging smart eyewear market.

Luxottica brands include Oakley, Alain Mikli, Ray-Ban, and Vogue-Eyewear. The first smart glasses by Luxottica for Google Glass will go on sale in 2015.

Google Glass for Sale in US on April 15 only for $1500

As announced on official G+ announcement on the social network powered by the world’s biggest search engine. Google will open its invite-only Google Glass Explorer Program to the everyone who is 18 year age and is residing in the United States for the limited period of 24 hours only. Google Glass sale enrollment will starts at 6:00AM Pacific Standard Time, Tuesday April the 15th.

This move by Google obviously is not planned as a sales move, but more of a beta recruiting. It seems like Google has set on to acquire more beta testers for its device, rather than to think about profit. It will probably be enough time for that later.

Google Glass Price

Google Glass price will be unchanged and it will cost $1500 + tax (AU$1,592 and £893) plus taxes. According to the limited available Google Glass Information so far, Google Glass will come with your favorite shade or frame
for free or with prescription.

Google Glass Privacy Concerns

Google has been working to burnish the image of Glass, which has triggered concerns about privacy, because the devices are capable of capturing pictures and video. Google recently sent out a release to debunk Glass myths including that it invades privacy, distracts wearers by saying:
If someone wants to secretly record you, there are much, much better cameras out there than one you wear conspicuously on your face and that lights up every time you give a voice command or press a button.
All this seems like a positive thing, and it allows us to confirm our earlier suspicions that the consumer product of Google Glass can be expected later this year, and maybe we could then expect a better sales policy from Google.
