Assassin's Creed 4 (AC4) Black Flag Release Date has been announced with an AC4 Black Flag Trailer 2013 featuring Edward Kenway, the main protagonist, as rumors were already suggesting.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is the fourth upcoming episode of Ubisoft’s action adventure open world Assassin's Creed video game series and will be called Black Flag. As the title speaks itself that it is about pirates, sailors and boundless seas.

AC4 Black Flag 2013 is the sixth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and a prequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard, Charles Vane and Benjamin Hornigold, and will take players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period in history.

Assassin's Creed 4 (AC4) Black Flag Release Date 2013

According to the official announcement, AC4 Black Flag Release Date is October 29, 2013, near the 2013 holiday season and is open for pre-order now.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag launch will be made available to PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U video games. AC4 Black Flag for PS3 version will also have 60 minutes of exclusive content.

Speaking to Joystiq in San Francisco last month, Assassin's Creed 4 game director, Ashraf Ismail said the AnvilNext engine, which powers Ubisoft's pirate game and debuted with Assassin's Creed 3 in 2012, was built for platforms beyond the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. Later Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, confirmed that the AC4 Black Flag publisher would release multiple cross-generation games this year, including Watch Dogs. Therefore, new AC4 Black Flag game will also be available for the next-generation gaming consoles, Sony PS4 or Xbox ONE.

According to Assassin's Creed 4 trailer, Edward will be fearless, fearsome and dangerous captain that "fights like a devil". He will have 4 different weapons and will take part in different naval missions. Also there will be several overland campaigns and our hero will be able not only to fight, but also to seduce women. It is interesting that during the Assassin's Creed 4 trailer, Edward is diving, so we hope, that also we will get several underwater tasks:

The indication of new AC4 Black Flag title was earlier confirmed last month in by the Ubisoft CEO and subsequently, we have received the signals of another Assassin's Creed 4 existence through a leaked poster and later, confirmed by Ubisoft by the release of its official box art. The leaked poster was found in a reddit post (as shown in picture below) revealing that Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag might be based on pirates.

Last month, Ubisoft had released the AC4 Black Flag box art, featuring the new Assassin of Edward Kenway, holding a sword and pirate's pistol, standing over a crushed pirate ship.
