Assassins Creed 4 is the 6th episode of this one of the world's most popular video game series. Ubisoft, the Assassins Creed game development studio is use to release a new Assassins Creed title in the series every year, since the launch of Assassin's Creed 2. Recent edition Assassin's Creed 3 takes place over a 30-year period in colonial America, back in 1777. But the Gaming Liberty reports that publisher is mulling over this strategy.

Assassin's Creed 3 introduced several new gameplay mechanics and implemented an upgraded game engine, which resulted in 3.5 million copies sold in its first week alone, twice that of Revelations. Assassin's Creed 3 features a new engine known as Anvil Next, which introduces all-new situational animations, increases the amount of non-playable characters (NPC's) that can inhabit the game space, and allows players to fluidly navigate the uneven surfaces and tree branches of the American frontier.

While Assassin's Creed IV has not been officially announced, Ubisoft is taking fan opinions on upcoming game by asking what features they would like to see in AC4. Assassin's Creed game players were also quizzed on a gamer location, settings and characters. They were specifically inquired, whether they would like to see the Assassin's Creed 4 gameplay to return to the American revolution era. One of the most asked questions about the AC4 was Return of Desmond and Involvement of Coner. Now it depends on Ubisoft script writers whether they will bring Desmond and/or Coner back and how they are going to bend the story in order to bring Desmond back in AC4.

Few more interesting questions in Ubisoft survey were, if this game releases in next year (2014) how likely you are going to buy the game? and how they would feel if it contained co-op play?

Assassin’s Creed fans have become familiar with the historical adventure video game’s pattern, which means that they know how the story somehow jumps several hundred years ahead after each official installment. This time around, we will see Assassin’s Creed give a take of the American Revolution. So, another jump from this title will lead us too close to modern day. Ubisoft explains that future installments will be journeying back in time, making use of interesting historical markers.

Assassin's Creed 4 Victorian England

Assassin's Creed 4 gameplay will features Victorian London, England (1837-1901), which is the the winning location decided by Ubisoft polls. Victorian London is the land of Sweeney Todd, Jack the Ripper and Dracula. What’s one more blade-wielding maniac in the crowd, anyway? The crowded streets and tight terraces would make a perfect stamping ground for a hooded Assassin's, and there is certainly plenty of wrong to make right in those sewage-filled streets.

It has also been revealed that Ubisoft has partnered with two French government research organizations in order to help them with the upcoming installment. They have started development for the game in January 2013 in France.
