How to Claim Token on Technorati for Blog or Website

Technorati (Technology and Literati) is a PageRank:6 and Alexa:926 web Blog Search Engine, indexes 112.8 million blogs 250 million social media tagged. Founded by Dave Sifry based in San Francisco, California, USA. It has an active software developer community, with open-source culture. The site won the SXSW 2006 awards for Best Technical Achievement. In 2006 Webby Award, it was next after Flickr and Google Maps.

Recently, while registering my blog to Technorati, I came across Technorati token claim process. I admit that it was little unconventional for me and obviously for most of internet uses, since there are lot of queries on the internet in the regards. So i decide to write a blog post to cover How To Claim Blog on Technorati or How to Claim Token on Technorati.

In order to submit ones blog or website to Technorati, one have to go through a registration process called Claim Token Process to verify that one is the real owner of the blog or website one is claiming. It seems that the process is somewhat confusing for most of people due to its unusual nature.

Ok, once you submit your blog or website to Technorati, it will send you an email mentioning your Website Address and Registration Claim Token that will look something like this:
This is an automatically-generated email.
Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. Technorati will need to verify that you are an author of the site http://www.itechwhiz.com by looking for a unique code. We have just assigned the claim token 9BA4XM97G2ZG to this claim. Please visit http://technorati.com/account/ for more details, including how to use the claim token.
Thank you.

Well, the next step you require to do is to create a blog post or website page page with any title. But the body of the post or page must be containing your Technorati Claim Token: 9BA4XM97G2ZG (for my case). The next thing is to publish the post or page on the web.

Once done with publishing, go to your account at link provided in the email: http://technorati.com/account/. After logged-in, look at that bottom account page for Check Claim button for your blog and click it. The forth coming page might ask whether you have include the Technorati Claim Token in any of your post, which you already have done. So simply go click the button to confirm it. You should be receiving a success email after few minutes mentioning:

That's it, Its all done, you can remove your temporary post of page now.
